About our repair services…
At Robinson’s, we have developed the best procedure
for repairing
mechanical clocks and watches. It is simply what we call
an OVERHAUL.
First, we disassemble your timepiece. Then, we thoroughly
clean your unit in
our state of the art heated ultrasonic cleaners. All repairs
are performed (i.e.
bushings, springs, and any other necessary repairs). The
movement is then
reassembled and ultrasonically cleaned in a non-heated
cleaner.
Please note, that we always try to preserve a timepiece
to its original
condition and only replace parts as a last resort. We
also have “the Eicholtz
solution,” which is a unique rinse that helps prevent
rust and allows your clock
to operate more smoothly. This solution is especially
helpful in and around
humid and salty areas.
We then check your timepiece by allowing it to run full
cycle. When your
timepiece passes final inspection we give you a warranty
that covers the
entire mechanism.
