The Robinson family began business back in 1962, in Towson, Maryland.
There Robert Robinson and his wife, Dee, hung out the first shingle of many
successful businesses to come. They opened up The Clock Shop with Dee’s
father, Francis (a jeweler and master watch & clockmaker trained in Germany).
Looking for a slower pace lifestyle and a place to raise three children, Robert
and Dee relocated to Salisbury, Maryland in the early 70’s. Here they began
Robinson’s Salisbury Clock Shop in the basement of the Hitch Insurance Building.
The business grew quickly.
In the late 70’s Robert began teaching clock repairing his own federally
accredited clock making school. It was here Robert’s youngest son entered
the business. John Robinson became one of the youngest Clockmakers in the
United States and today works alongside his Father. The Robinson’s have
Delmarva’s largest clock and watch showroom. In addition to being the most
experienced clockmakers on Delmarva. Robinson’s offers internationally certified
appraisals and sell all types of Timepieces.
